Emageon Highlights PACS, New Cardiology/Radiology Workstation

December 1, 2007 – Emageon Inc. highlighted at RSNA 2007 enhancements to its “vendor neutral” image sharing PACS and announced a new cardiology/radiology workstation will be introduced in 2008.

The “vendor neutral” image sharing PACS is designed to enable physicians to handle multiple PACS in their system and share images between multiple facilities with different PACS. The PACS also features enterprise work lists for shared reading and workflow across sites, including study status updates such as “STAT,” “Read,” patient matching across ID domains and use of key images and presentation states.

The company also focused on its RadSuite Express designed for facilities going filmless for the first time or small to mid-size hospitals, clinics or imaging centers looking for affordable PACS with reportedly high performance and native 3D features that handle large multislice CTs.

Emageon will also roll out a combined cardiology and radiology workstation in the mid-2008.
