New Partnership to Enhance RIS/PACS Workflow

TeraRecon Inc. and Commissure, Inc. have announced a partnership to integrate and deliver seamless workflow orchestration that leverages advanced visualization tools independent of the combination of modalities, RIS and PACS deployed in a given institution.

The partnership will provide support for the AquariusNET thin-client as the common viewing tool for volumetric examinations when AquariusNET is available in an institution. Commissure works in concert with AquariusNET to distribute advanced visualization coupled with a comprehensive patient management and reading environment for images with 3D capabilities.

Commissure integrates the patient history, order status, status of priors, and structured reporting and distributes the consolidated results into a single worklist. It augments image and patient data by providing access and hyperlinks to saved scenes, priors and reports.

Today's cardiovascular information systems need to incorporate all facets of the cardiology department, including subspecialties, to allow a complete picture of a patient's record. These data also need to be able to be shared with enterprise data systems, such as the electronic medical record (EMR). This image is from ScImage, illustrating the various aspects that integrate to make up a complete CVIS.
