January 12, 2012 — Simbionix USA Corp. announced advanced virtual reality (VR) simulators that can communicate in Chinese, Japanese and Russian, in addition to English.
The new languages are available with the company's new simulator curricula management system, MentorLearn. MentorLearn is available either as the new interface for simulator management, or as an on-line administration system. MentorLearn allows Simbionix customers to use a unified interface to control and manage all Simbionix simulators, now in multiple languages.
As a system that facilitates performing the administrative tasks of running a training course or workshop, MentorLearn includes extensive content, including a library of ready-to-use simulator-based courses and a platform to design new training courses. Courses may include online didactic material, proficiency-based hands-on training and performance review and assessment. All of the module descriptions, learning objectives, case medical history and instructions available in four languages.
Simbionix’s MentorLearn sustem will be on display at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) January 29 - 31, in San Diego, Calif.
