Closed-Door User Meetings Target RIS, PACS, C-PACS

March 1, 2010 - How is portal-driven technology setting new standards for customizable, role-based, context-sensitive, and knowledge-driven radiology workflow? Software solutions providers would like to know.

That is why Siemens Healthcare has invited users to closed-door meetings are at HIMSS 2010 to intimately discuss their individual healthcare goals with Siemens experts and learn more about the Siemens health and imaging IT solutions.

Users and Siemens staff will discuss Web-enabled imaging IT products combining RIS with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) solutions.

syngo Workflow’s latest version, 30B, includes several enhanced features for radiology workflow, performance, and stability. For example, its syngo Portal Radiologist solution now supports an additional workflow step, medical check request, which further assists radiologists plan and validate exam orders. Plus, upgrades to the embedded dictation tool, syngo Voice, include context sensitive shortcuts, helping to make dictation more efficient. Also, Siemens’ latest portal solution, syngo Portal Executive, captures organizations’ business metrics and helps align to day-to-day operations within a department.

The company will also be reviewing its PACS advancements with users, specifically the new syngo Imaging Version V35, featuring enhanced scalability, configurability, and Mammography support, as well as the ability to ‘park’ studies at a moments notice for future reading. This new version also enables a combination of separate computer-aided detection (CAD) and advanced imaging solutions at the PACS viewing workstation. These intelligent post-processing applications are used in lung, colon and whole-body imaging workflow enhancement.

Another topic of discussion will involve the cardiology tool syngo Dynamics, Siemens’ multimodality image review, archiving, and reporting system designed to improve the efficiency of clinical procedures through intuitive, evidence-based reporting. syngo Dynamics incorporates images and information from echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, nuclear medicine, OBG/YN, and ultrasound departments. Ease of use, reporting templates, and clinical tools all combine to enhance workflow efficiencies and help cardiologists provide optimal patient care.
