Varian PaxScan X-ray Panels Offer Mutiple Applications

Varian Medical Systems' PaxScan line consists of flat panels for digital radiography together with its full line of detectors for filmless imaging.

- The 4336R, a 14 x 17 inch detector designed to replace standard film cassettes used in radiographic applications, is intended for use in mobile and multi-bucky imaging systems.

- The 4343R, Varian’s largest panel at 17 x 17 inches, is designed for permanent mounting in radiographic tables or wall stands, or for any application that requires a large field of view.

- The 1313, Varian’s smallest panel at 5 x 5 inches, is designed for use in dental and orthopedic imaging and cone-beam CT systems.

Specialized PaxScan panels, originally developed to enable high-resolution 3-D cone-beam CT imaging in Varian's systems for image-guided radiotherapy, are now incorporated into medical diagnostic imaging systems used for surgery, angiography, cardiac catheterizetion, gastrointestinal imaging and general radiography.
