ACC, HRS Announce Cardiosource Partnership

April 2, 2009 - The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) and the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) are collaborating to deliver free, unlimited access to Cardiosource’s Arrhythmias and Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Clinical Collections containing relevant, up-to-date information for cardiology professionals.

Cardiosource is the ACC’s online portal for cardiovascular news, information and education. As the leading resource on cardiac arrhythmias, HRS will contribute to editorial content and information posted in the Cardiosource Arrhythmias and AF Clinical Collections. HRS volunteer Kenneth Ellenbogen, M.D., FHRS, will serve as the guest editor for both Clinical Collections.

“With the quickly evolving technology and treatment for arrhythmias, the Cardiosource Clinical Collections are an excellent resource to ensure that the most up-to-date information is just a click away,” said Dr. Ellenbogen. “The addition of important resources such as HeartRhythm Journal articles will give all cardiology professionals the tools they need to provide the best patient care possible.”

“The expertise of the Heart Rhythm Society and Dr. Ellenbogen is extremely valuable to Cardiosource,” said Chris Cannon, M.D., FACC, editor-in-chief of Cardiosource. “This partnership will help provide education to the general cardiologist about complex electrophysiology issues and help to further our goal of turning cardiovascular science into practice.”

Key features of the Arrhythmias and AF Clinical Collections include:
- HeartRhythm Journal highlights
- Full-text searchability of HeartRhythm Journal (Coming Soon)
- What’s new in atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias
- Cardiosource video network
- Case studies
- Expert opinions
- Clinical trials
- Downloadable slide sets
- Guidelines and quality standards
