June 9, 2007 - Scivanta Medical Corp. and Ethox International Inc. announced that they entered into an agreement to develop the Hickey Cardiac Monitoring System (HCMS), in which Ethox will provide Scivanta engineering and development support for the catheter component of the HCMS in exchange for the rights to manufacture the component upon regulatory approval and commercialization of the HCMS. The deal with Ethox went into effect on June 29, 2007.

July 9, 2007 - Zerusa Limited and Vascular Solutions Inc. announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement in which Vascular Solutions will distribute Zerusa’s Guardian hemostasis valve, which received 510(k) FDA clearance, to develop market acceptance for the valve in the U.S.
The valve is designed to maintain hemostasis during interventional catheterization procedures through a sealing system, which reportedly allows simple introduction and removal of interventional devices with the option to lock wires in place.

July 9, 2007 - Stereotaxis magnetic navigation systems are being used to guide catheters into the heart for repairs.
A magnetically charged catheter inserted into a patient in their leg uses remarkably powerful magnets to push and pull the catheter into the heart to make repairs. These new magnetic probes are used at Ohio State University Medical Center, one of only 50 hospitals in the world to perform this procedure.

July 9, 2007 - Medtronic Inc. announced the commercial launch of its latest cardiac resynchronization therapy-defibrillator, the Concerto CRT-D, and its latest implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, the Virtuoso ICD, which are the first of their kind in the Japanese market.
The CRT-D devices are equipped with the functions of an ICD, while also providing cardiac resychronization therapy for patients suffering from heart failure. The Concerto and Virtuoso are the first devices in Japan with wireless functionality, designed to reduce follow-up and procedure times.

July, 6, 2007 – Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced a partnership with CVCTA Education to provide a Peripheral Vascular CTA (PV-CTA) training course in a move to strengthen its position in medical education and improved patient care.
This course will be the first of its kind to exceed current ACCF/AHA Level 2 requirements in the ACCF/AHA Clinical Competence Statement on Cardiac Imaging with Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance.

July 6, 2007 - CardioTech International Inc. announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its Gish Biomedical Inc. subsidiary in a stock transaction to Medos Medizintechnik AG (Medos) for nearly $7.5 million in a move that will allow CardioTech to invest the proceeds in its growth initiatives.
