FDA Clears PET Scanner for Cardiac Perfusion Imaging


May 1, 2009 - The FDA has approved Neusoft Positron Medical Systems 510(k) submission for its Attrius positron emission tomographyy (PET) scanner product line developed by Positron Corp. and its joint venture with Neusoft Medical Systems based in Shenyang, China.

The Attrius is designed specifically for cardiac perfusion imaging such as a coronary artery disease software suite that includes; mercator projections, normal database comparison, coronary artery tree and distribution overlay map, rapid segmented attenuation correction, motion correction, and open acquisition architecture for today’s challenging quantitative flow reserve imaging.
