November 6, 2007 - Acusphere Inc. announced that Imagify Perfusion Stress Echo, an investigational new drug developed to assess perfusion using ultrasound (or echocardiography) for the detection of coronary heart disease, was shown to be just as good at determining whether or not a patient has disease (accuracy), according to data from two studies released today at the AHA meeting.

November 2007 - Boston Scientific, a manufacturer of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging technology, unveiled new software enhancements to the iLab Ultrasound Imaging System at AHA 2007.
The release of the new iLab System Software enhancements brings iSize, iColor and iTint features directly to the cath lab reportedly giving physicians the ability to preview device sizing decisions, colorize plaque and blood flow and overlay color to enrich viewing the IVUS image. Since launching the iLab System in May of 2006, Boston Scientific has placed more than 500 systems worldwide.
