Boston Scientific’s Lotus transcatheter aortic valve repair (TAVR) system was implanted for the first time in the United Kingdom at Glenfield Hospital in Leicestershire, U.K. The 23 mm transcatheter gives surgeons control of the valve throughout the keyhole procedure, enabling increased precision and the ability to reposition or retrieve the valve, even after insertion if necessary.
